Holmen – Fresh Moss Wall Installation at Excel London
We designed and installed a bespoke fresh moss wall for Holmen Board and Paper at London Packaging Week at Excel London. Created as part of Holmen’s exhibition stand, the installation combined fresh moss, ferns and forest-inspired planting to reflect the brand’s connection to forestry and natural materials.
A Bespoke Moss Wall for London Packaging Week
The brief was to create a natural, forest-inspired feature that integrated seamlessly into Holmen’s exhibition stand. The finished installation formed a large organic moss wall across the back of the stand, adding texture and depth while complementing the surrounding green tones and woodland-inspired creative.
Fresh moss was layered to create varied texture and depth, with ferns and forest-style foliage incorporated throughout. Rather than creating a uniform living wall, the planting was arranged organically to give the installation the appearance of a section of natural forest floor.
Designed Around Holmen’s Exhibition Stand
The moss installation was designed specifically around the shape and dimensions of the stand, following its curved architectural lines and incorporating display areas for Holmen’s products.
Smaller moss and foliage details were also used throughout the stand to connect the main installation with the product displays and reinforce the overall forest theme.
Exhibition Installation at Excel London
The installation was prepared specifically for the two-day London Packaging Week exhibition at Excel London, with the final build completed on site ahead of the show.
Working within an exhibition environment meant the design needed to create visual impact while integrating with the existing stand structure, lighting, product displays and visitor areas. The finished moss wall provided a natural focal point visible across the stand without competing with Holmen’s products and messaging.
